Special Assistance Program
The MS Special Assistance Program assists people with MS to purchase designated services, aids or equipment that will help to increase independence and enhance their quality of life.
Individuals may apply for up to $300 for the current funding period of September 2009 - December 31, 2010 for a variety of uses which include: equipment and assistive devices, home air conditioning, counseling, etc.

Recreation Subsidies

Regina Chapter Children's Recreation Subsidy
The MS Children’s Recreation Subsidy helps kids (up to 18 years of age) affected by MS, by providing funding for opportunities for them to participate in social, education and recreational activities.$200 limit.
Regina Chapter Recreation Subsidy for Adults
Program funds are intended to provide financial assistance to individuals with MS wanting to participate in activities to maintain and possibly restore their physical, mental and social capacities. Examples include, yoga, tai chi, cooking or crafting classes, etc. $300 limit.

Education Bursaries and Scholarships
Applications for 2010 bursaries are now available. Funding support is available towards post-secondary education for people with MS, or with an immediate family member who has multiple sclerosis.
Regina Chapter Bursary
Two $2,000 bursaries will be awarded for the 2010/11 school year. Deadline July 31th.

Saskatoon Chapter Bursary
Two $1,000 bursaries will be awarded for the 2010/11 school year. Deadline July 31st.

Marlene Joy Forden Memorial Scholarship
$1,000 in scholarship funds are availble and will be awarded to individual(s) from rural Saskatchewan. Minimum $500 per person.

Melfort & District Chapter Busary
Two $300 busaries will be awarded for the 2009/10 school year.

Isobel Rice Memorial Scholarship
The Isobel Rice Memorial Scholarship ($100) is awarded annually to a full-time student attending SIAST at Prince Albert's Woodland Campus. Applications are available from SIAST: Woodland Campus and the deadline for application submission is March 31.

MS Caregiver Special Assistance Program
 |
The purpose of this program is to assist the primary caregiver of a person with MS to purchase products, activities and/or services to enhance their quality of life through respite.
Acceptable uses would include: therapeutic massage, assistance with house and/or yardwork, etc.
