Educational MS clips
The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Quebec Division now offers educational web video on specific topics related to multiple sclerosis (MS).

Interdisciplinary conference on MS
This conference targeted Quebec health professionals (occupationnal therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, social workers, psychologists, doctors, neurologists, etc.), especially general practitioners who have patients with multiple sclerosis. The conference was a unique learning opportunity where people could share their experiences with other Quebec health professionals who are dealing with this disease. Le next conference will be held in spring 2010.

Knowledge Update on the Symptomatic Treatment of Multiple Sclerosis
T
his brochure has been developed for general practitioners who would like information on how to treat the signs (symptomatic treatment) of multiple sclerosis. In 2005, an earlier brochure concerning the epidemiology and diagnosis of this disease was published by the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Quebec Division.

 

Guide to MS Medications (PDF : 850K/41p)
This Guide is a practical reference that informs people with multiple sclerosis about the therapy options their physician may offer them to treat their symptoms.

Warning: The Guide to MS Medications has been written by MS nurses, revised by MS neurologists and approved by the Canadian MS Clinics Network. It is meant to facilitate communication beween patients and doctors, nurses or neurologists. The Guide to MS Medications is not exhaustive and it is not intended to replace professional medical advice.

 

Guide for General Practitioners

General practitioners play a key role because they are often the people who see patients in the early stages of the disease. The purpose of this publication is to review the warning signs that indicate a patient has MS, as well as the traps to avoid.

 



Talking with your MS Patients about Difficult Topics
Have you ever felt that you were more of an 'expert' on multiple sclerosis than the physician treating you? Have you ever wished your doctor had dealt with an MS symptom more sensitively than they did? This publication was developed by the Professional Resource Center of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (USA), the Canadian adaptation is a resource containing six publications which help physicians support their patients through some of the more challenging aspects of MS:
