Volunteering

A
Helping Hand for Multiple Sclerosis
The
Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada (Québec Division)
is looking for people who would be interested in volunteering
for the cause of multiple sclerosis.
The
Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada (MSSC) organizes a number
of activities every year to raise funds for MS research and
to improve the quality of life for people who are coping with
MS. Volunteers are often needed to help run these events. For
this reason, the organizers would like to set up a database
of people who are interested in supporting the MSSC’s
permanent staff.
Duties
will vary depending on personal interests. There is something
for everyone: data entry, flower sales, companions on outings
for people with MS, youth programs, deliveries and lots more!
For
over 50 years, the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada has
lead the search for a cure for multiple sclerosis and endeavoured
to improve the quality of life for the 12,000 people in Quebec
who have this disease.

The
advantages of volunteering:
- You
participate in activities that are essential to the well-being
of people with MS.
- Your
help is appreciated and your work is fulfilling.
- You
work with people who have the same interests as you in an
atmosphere of friendship and mutual assistance.
- You
can use your talents in a multitude of activities.
- Volunteering
is good for your health… and helps you live longer!
