Social Action

Social action is defined by the MS Society as action to improve legislation, policies, practices, opportunities and attitudes to promote a better quality of life for people with MS.
The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada works with people with MS to help them take an active part in all aspects of life. Volunteers across the country try to change government policies, industry practices and public attitudes to benefit people with MS.
The Quebec Division is a member of COPHAN, the Quebec federation of organizations for handicapped people. It is active on various committees: housing, home care, adapted transit, taxation, etc.
