Secure your spot today by registering online (click the blue box above) or phone (204) 622-2941 for additional information.

This two-day event begins at the Parkland Recreation Complex in Dauphin. Cyclists journey 70 km south to Danceland in Clear Lake on day one and return to Dauphin on day two. Overnight, participants along with our many incredible volunteers, friends and family enjoy an evening of great food, entertainment and so much more.
Here are the answers to some frequently asked questions about the Riding Mountain Challenge.
Why is there a limit to the number of participants?
In accordance with Parks Canada and the RCMP, there is a limit to the number of participants who can be on the highway and in the National Park at one time.
Why is there a pledge minimum and what is it?
There are expenses involved in putting on an event of this size. The RMC is a fundraising event for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Parkland Chapter. In order to meet the expenses of holding the event and to raise funds for MS research and to support programs and services for Manitobans living with MS, it is imperative for there to be a minimum pledge level. For the Riding Mountain Challenge, the minimum pledge to participate is $250 per cyclist.
What if I cannot finish?
At any point you may catch a lift to the next rest stop or finish site on the RMC cyclist shuttle (this includes transportation of your bike). Safety and gear vehicles as well as medical teams travel the route continuously looking for weary travelers or those requiring assistance.
What is TeamMS?
TeamMS is a complimentary program created to enhance the experience of MS Society events such as the Bike Tour. Teams range in size from four dedicated friends who ride to represent someone living with MS, to dozens of co-workers who want to make a difference in the community. For the MS Bike Tours, team members can include competitive athletes who concentrate on riding to strong fundraisers who do not ride but volunteer on event weekend. The best teams are ones with members who compliment each other's strengths and work together to ensure you are meeting your training and fundraising goals.
Teams also receive exclusive access to a variety of recruitment and fundraising incentives, helping to motivate team members and increase your success.
How do we create a team?
Becoming a team is simple. All you need is a minimum of four people who want to work together to directly inspire and encourage one another. Choose a team captain and a team name and you're done! If you currently participate with friends and family, but you are registered as individuals, please contact Stacy at stacy.wieb@mssociety.ca or (204) 622-2941 and register as a team.
For more information on the TeamMS program, benefits of joining a team and team resources, visit the TeamMS section.
Are accommodations provided?
No. All cyclists are responsible for booking their own accommodations. A list of accommodations in both Dauphin and Clear Lake is available on the Accommodations link in the top left navigation bar or at the Parkland Chapter office (204) 622-2941.
